CC-S12 Digital High Precision Albedo Sensor

1. Product Overview

Albedo, also known as solar reflectivity, is defined as the ratio of reflected light to global radiation. Solar albedo depends on the properties of the ground layer, the direction of the incident radiation and the distribution of ground radiation. Typically, the albedo of a newly paved asphalt road is about 4%, a lawn is 15%, and a freshly fallen snow surface is 90%.

The CC-S12 digital high-precision albedo sensor consists of 2 solar radiation sensors, one for the sky and one for the ground. The solar radiation sensor for the sky measures the total radiation (scattered and direct solar radiation), and the solar radiation sensor for the ground measures the reflected solar radiation.
